The Department of Community Medicine, Nalbari Medical College and Hospital has celebrated World Health Day 2025 on the 7th of April, in line with this year’s theme, “Healthy Beginning, Hopeful Future,”

This theme emphasizes the need to invest in health and well-being right from the start of life—be it infancy, childhood, or early stages of public health programs. A strong foundation in health leads to a brighter, healthier, and more productive future for individuals and communities alike.

A poster competition was organized among the first-year MBBS students of Nalbari Medical College with the aim to raise awareness on these critical aspects and allow students to creatively express their understanding of the theme.

The event started with an inspirational speech from the respected Principal Prof. (Dr.) Babul Kumar Bezbaruah.The competetion was judged by the Vice Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Bonti Bora and Staff President  Prof. (Dr.) Tirtha Chaliha and three winners were selected .One entry was also given a special consideration award for its unique effort and message.

The Community Medicine department extends heartfelt gratitude to the Principal Sir, Vice-Principal Ma'am, Superintendent Sir, Staff President Ma'am and all other faculties who graced the occasion with their presence and support.
