Nalbari Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), located in Dakhingaon, Ghograpar, Nalbari, Assam, was established in 2023 as a major milestone in strengthening the healthcare and medical education system of the region. Research & Innovation

Though a newly established institution, NMCH encourages evidence-based practice and research-oriented thinking among students and faculty. Collaboration with AIIMS Guwahati for specialized OPD services is a step toward promoting academic and clinical exchange.

Community & Outreach

NMCH actively serves patients from Nalbari, Baksa, Rangia, Pathsala, and occasionally Bhutan. Under the Department of Community Medicine, two annex hospitals—Tihu FRU and Chamata Block PHC—function as peripheral training and outreach units.
Government programs such as Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY), Atal Amrit Abhiyan (AAA), RBSK, and MMLSAY are actively implemented. The Family Adoption Programme (FAP) is also practiced as per NMC guidelines.

Infrastructure

The institution boasts modern infrastructure including state-of-the-art lecture halls, laboratories, a central library, and a fully functional teaching hospital.
